Last Friday I had the pleasure to spend my day with Heather and Charlie. They tied the knot at the beautiful Meredith Manor in Pottstown. I had never been to Meredith Manor before and the inside reception area was perfect for a smaller, more intimate wedding. Their ceremony was held outside in the garden area under tall trees, so we were shaded from the sun most of the time. Heather and Charlie are so much fun to be around and I was looking forward to their wedding for quite some time.We had great weather, and of course, we got tons of great shots! Charlie sure knows how to bust a move on the dance floor as well! Here is a little preview of their special day. Enjoy!
This past Friday I had an absolute blast shooting Amanda and Andy’s wedding. They were so much fun to work with and they are both so genuinely nice. Their special day took place at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester. The weather was perfect, the location was perfect and the day flew by without a hitch!
I was especially excited about this shoot because this was the first time I had the opportunity to do a “pre ceremony” reveal. Usually the majority of wedding pictures are taken right after the ceremony, but we were able to get all of the photos done beforehand, which gave them some quality time with loads of close friends and family members during the cocktail hour. After the ceremony, the rest of the night was theirs to enjoy and live it up! It was filled with tons of laughter, dancing, some stiff bean bag competition and crazy photo booth antics. Oh…and there was a surprise visit from Superman himself…
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Petticoffer and enjoy your much deserved honeymoon cruise! In the meantime, enjoy this preview!
Brigitte and David’s wedding was held yesterday in Lancaster at Lime Spring Farms. Although I’ve lived in Lancaster for over 5 years now I’ve never heard of this venue before and it seems like I was missing out! Lime Spring Farms is a fantastic reception venue with plenty of areas to take pictures at. There was a beautiful garden area with a stream running through it, two large barns on the premises, as well as a large pond. Although the weather was undesirable, with heavy rain and strong storms in the forecast, it didn’t dampen the love that Brigitte and David had for each other on their special day. Luckily, the rain had stopped shortly after the ceremony and we were able to walk around the property and get some great shots. I had a great time getting to know the both of them and had a blast shooting their engagement session and wedding. Congratulations Brigitte and David! Enjoy this preview from their wedding!
Wow…what an amazing wedding this was. This past Saturday I got together with Jeffrey Sabotta to shoot Lauren and Mike’s wedding at Citizen’s Bank Park and I was waiting a long time for this wedding. I knew this was going to be a pretty sweet day. I mean, how often do you get a chance to have access to the stadium when no one is there, let-alone photograph a wedding there?! The day was filled with lots of fun, laughter, craziness, and surprises. This may have been an opportunity that I won’t get again and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I big thank you to Jeff who let me come out and help him for this wedding, and it’s always such a blast when Jeff and I get together for weddings. I’m not really sure what else I can say right now because words won’t do this justice, so I think I’ll just have to let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy!
This past Saturday kicked off the very first wedding of 2012 and it was nothing short of awesome! The wedding was held at historic Rock Ford Plantation in Lancaster county. The area was beautiful with plenty of places on the property to take pictures. Desiree and Greg are a very fun couple and I truly enjoyed shooting their wedding. Last Saturday was May 5th and many of you may also know it by its more popular name – Cinco de Mayo. Since their wedding fell on Cinco de Mayo, they incorporated a hint of the popular Mexican holiday, which included sombreros, mustaches, a pinata, and maracas! Hope you enjoy this sneak peak and congratulations again to the newly married couple!
This past Saturday I had the opportunity to assist as a second shooter for an awesome wedding photographer, Jeff Sabotta. He had photographed my wedding this year and since then we have become good friends. We have very similar styles and we compliment each other very well. I had a blast shooting along side Jeff and we captured some great shots. Here are some of my favorite shots that I took during the day. Can’t wait until next June when I get to shoot with Jeff again for a wedding that we are shooting at Citizens Bank Park! Enjoy:)

Yesterday turned out to be another beautiful day for a fantastic wedding. Monica and Matthew are such an awesome, down-to-earth couple, with lots of joking around going on. You can tell when they look in each others eyes that there is a love like no other. The ceremony was held at St. Matthew church in Conshohocken, and the architecture of the church was really spectacular; inside and out. From the church we headed over to a small park nearby and got some great shots of family members and the couple. We then headed to our final destination of the night in Philadelphia for the reception – The Blacklake Room. Fast forward about an hour or two, throw in an open bar, and you can image the craziness that ensued! Enjoy this sneak peak and congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Pokorny 🙂
I will put all of the images up online in a gallery once I have finished editing all of the photos. If you want to be notified when they are posted please go to my website: photosbyscottsmith.com, click on “view your event proofs”, click on Monica and Matthew, and then type in your email.
Yesterday turned out to be a fantastic day for Alyssa and Ty’s wedding. They were a great couple to photograph because they were both pretty laid back, so they were up for anything. It was a perfect day for a wedding and you couldn’t have asked for better weather! The couple got married at The Loft at Sweet Water Country Club in Pennsburg. I had never been to the Loft before and it was a gorgeous place to have a wedding at. The venue sits on a golf course so there was plenty of land surrounding the Loft to take photographs at. We jumped around to several spots and in the end we were able to get some really awesome shots! Hope you enjoy this sneak peak and once I have finished editing the rest of the shots I’ll post a link so anyone can view the online gallery. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs Kelius!
