I had a great time shooting Jaime and Alex’s wedding last weekend. This was also the first time I’ve had a wedding during the winter months, so there was that slight chance that it might snow. Luckily, there were no big snow storms that day. It was just a bit windy, overcast and cold for the better part of the day. Jaime and Alex got ready at Normandy Farms hotel right down the road from the William Penn Inn. They decided to do a first look and as we were getting ready to do the first look it started to flurry. This made for a unique photo opportunity, but it was quite cold! They were both good sports about it as we quickly grabbed a bunch of photos outside. Jaime and Alex’s daughter, Lilia, played a big part in the wedding and they even walked down the aisle together. There were so many great shots from their wedding that it was hard to choose which ones to put in this post! Enjoy!
What better way to kick off my wedding season then to shoot Jess and Andy’s awesome wedding! When I first met these two last year, and after I got to know them, I knew that there wedding was going to be pretty fun. I definitely was not disappointed and they sure do know how to party! Their wedding reception was held at the beautiful Manor House at Prophecy Creek in Ambler and the ceremony was held at a church just a short distance down the road. Andy and Jess decided to do a first look and I love when the bride and groom decide to do this. This is the moment that they are seeing each other for the very first time that day. You can capture so many raw emotions in just that short amount of time when they first lay eyes on each other. The weather that day turned out to be great, and there was only a slight chance for rain later in the day. Luckily, everyone was inside and all the outside photos were done before it started to rain a little. That didn’t put a damper on anyone spirits since the rest of the night everyone lived it up and partied till the very last minute. Here is a little peak into what went down that day. Enjoy!
Where should I start with these two?! Juliana and Tony are so much fun to be around and their wedding was nothing short of amazing. The location of the venue was held at the spectacular Stroudsmoore Country Inn, which is nestled in the mountains not far away from the Mt. Pocono area. I have always loved the Poconos area, so I was really looking forward to their wedding day. The venue was huge with multiple buildings and houses on the property, and on this particular day there were at least 2 other events going on around the area. We started the day off with Juliana and Tony both getting ready at a Hampton Inn only a few miles away from the venue. After getting ready, I hitched a ride in the trolley with Juliana and a few other people, and we headed over to the reception venue for some pictures before the ceremony. The ceremony was held outside in a quaint little courtyard. It was a bit on the chilly side, but that’s to be expected for a Fall wedding. The inside of the venue was gorgeous with warm, fall decor all around. I had a great time hanging out with these two all day, so here are a few images from their special day. Congratulations to the Mr. and Mrs. and enjoy this little preview!
This past Saturday I met up with Christina and Joe at Boat House Row in Philly.  Christina wanted to have the session at Boat House Row because rowing holds a special place in her heart. With a strong love and passion of rowing in her family, she has a lot of memories of Boat House Row. Christina and her family literately have rowing flowing through their veins. Joe is a huge Philadelphia sports fan, so I can’t think of a more fitting place for their session. I had shot another engagement session here last year and I was excited for this session since Boat House Row is such a great place for photos!  There was a definite chill in the air on Saturday. Thankfully, the sun was shining bright that afternoon because man, was it windy! We started off with a little “mock” picnic which featured a picnic basket that Christina’s great grandmother had, so it had a lot of sentimental value to her. We headed around the park and hit up a bunch of spots and finally ended at one of the boat houses. Christina and Joe are so easy going and fun to hang out with and it made the session fly by. Here is a sneak peek of their Saturday session. Enjoy!
Where should I start with these two? I have known Danielle’s side of the family since I was a little boy and I was best friends with her brother growing up so I was really looking forward to Danielle and Dave’s wedding! Unfortunately, we have all grown up and our lives got busy, so I have not seen them for a long time. It was great to catch up with Danielle’s family and to also be apart of their awesome wedding, which was held at Brookside Country Club in Pottstown. Danielle and Dave were easy going and so much fun to work with. The weather was perfect and the ceremony was short and sweet, which gave us more time for photos. There were plenty of spots around the golf course that we took advantage of for photos ops. All in all, everyone had a great time and it was really great to see some people that I haven’t been able to see in years. Here are just a handful of shots from their big day. Enjoy!
Jessica and Andy were a treat to hang out with and photograph this past Sunday. They decided to have their engagement session at the same place that they are having their wedding next year- The Manor House at Prophecy Creek. What a beautiful place for photos and there wasn’t a shortage of spots to take photos at around the venue! This also gave me an idea of what the area looked liked and the best spots for pictures since they will be getting married there. This session was a unique and special one as well. Jessica and Andy decided to bring along their other family member, Gunner. This was a little test to see if Gunner would sit, listen and be good for the pictures because they wanted to have him in some of their wedding photos as well. Let me tell you, he did a fantastic job with all of the shots he was in! This was a first for me as well and this was a nice change in pace. After a bunch of photos with the three of them I concentrated on just Jessica and Andy. We walked around the whole area and took advantage of all of the buildings and cool spots. Here is a little sneak peek from their session. Enjoy!
I was really excited to shoot Allie and Bill’s wedding last Saturday since they are friends of my wife and I. I got to stay close to home for this wedding, which was held at The Country Barn in Lancaster. I had never been to this venue before and it is such a nice place to get married at! The ceremony and reception were both on the same grounds. The ceremony was held outside in front of a beautiful brick house, and the reception was held in a very large barn which has been converted to host weddings and other events. Allie and Bill decided to do a first look and I absolutely love doing these. The expressions that you get to capture from the couple when you do first looks are so emotional and joyous, that it always makes for great photos. We were able to fit in pretty much all of the photos of Allie and Bill and the whole wedding party before the ceremony, which made for a full night of fun afterward! Enjoy this small preview from this amazing wedding!
Last Saturday’s wedding was nothing short of eventful. What a crazy and awesome day it was filled with lots of love and laughter. Andi and Mark tied the knot in Nazareth, PA. It was just a tad bit windy that day, but there was plenty of sunshine to go around. One cool little thing that Andi and Mark did right after the ceremony was that they rode away in a Vespa scooter together. While most couples would rent a limo or fancy car, they used a fun and unique vehicle for their send off. After the ceremony the whole wedding party braved the windy conditions at Jacobsburg Park for photos. After photos at the park we all headed over to Allentown for the reception at Allentown Brew Works. Andi and Mark put together a pretty sweet “Love Rocks” theme for their wedding. Every aspect of the reception had some type of musical reference, even the grooms cake, which was a total surprise to Mark. Since Mark loves to sing and play his guitar there was a very special moment during the reception that really stood out in my mind and I’m sure everyone else’s as well. Most of you are familiar with the recent tragedy in Moore, OK, where an F5 tornado basically leveled houses and communities and changed many peoples lives forever. Mark has some relatives that live in a nearby town very close to where the tornado hit, but thankfully were unharmed. Instead of having a dollar dance for the bride and groom, Mark sang and played his guitar for everyone at the reception and guests were able to able to throw money into his guitar case. 100% of that money is going towards the victims, the community, families and the overall help in the cleanup from the aftermath of the tornado. I thought that was a very commendable and generous thing to do. Congratulations again to the newlyweds and enjoy your honeymoon cruise!
It’s been quite some time since my last post, but I’m glad to be posting again and to show everyone this awesome couple for the first time. Meet Laura and Matt! We met up at Longwood Gardens over the weekend for their session. With the forecast of rain towards the end of last week it was looking like we were going to have to reschedule the session. Luckily, rain passed through on Friday night and cleared out for our engagement session on Saturday morning. This made for a perfect setting with bright blue skies and big, puffy clouds, which created an awesome backdrop for some shots. Laura and Matt were fantastic and the three of us had a great time. We walked around for quite some time since the gardens are so big, and tried to hit up as many spots as we could during our time there. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year and I know it will be tons of fun. Here is a little peak into Saturday’s session!
