Boathouse Row in Philadelphia is one of my favorite places to shoot engagement photos. It is such a great place for photos since it is so large and there are so many different areas with cool architectural structures and neat backgrounds to shoot against. For this session I met up with Kayleigh and John last Saturday morning. It was an overcast day but still very humid though. We trekked around the park in a big circle, hitting up many of the popular photo spots. They were both super fun to work with and we had a great time. Their photos came out pretty amazing and I can’t wait for their New Year’s Eve wedding at the end of this year! Here is just a taste of what went down at Boathouse Row. Enjoy!
Last Saturday was a perfect day for an engagement session and I headed to Lafayette College to meet up with Jen and Matt for their session. The weather was perfect and it turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far with temps in the mid 70’s. Lafayette College was the perfect place to have a shoot since it’s a gorgeous campus with plenty of areas to shoot at it and it was only a few minutes down the road from where they live. The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom and flowers were starting to come out, which made for some pretty cool photos. After a long stroll around the campus we headed down the road to a local park where we finished up our session. I had a great time shooting this awesome couple and can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the end of October. Enjoy this small preview!
I had a great time shooting Jaime and Alex’s wedding last weekend. This was also the first time I’ve had a wedding during the winter months, so there was that slight chance that it might snow. Luckily, there were no big snow storms that day. It was just a bit windy, overcast and cold for the better part of the day. Jaime and Alex got ready at Normandy Farms hotel right down the road from the William Penn Inn. They decided to do a first look and as we were getting ready to do the first look it started to flurry. This made for a unique photo opportunity, but it was quite cold! They were both good sports about it as we quickly grabbed a bunch of photos outside. Jaime and Alex’s daughter, Lilia, played a big part in the wedding and they even walked down the aisle together. There were so many great shots from their wedding that it was hard to choose which ones to put in this post! Enjoy!
Jamie and Alex were a lot of fun to hang out with. We met up at West Chester University for their engagement shoot. They both met each other at the University and had plenty of memories there, so it was fitting that they had their session there. Alex used to play on the University’s basketball team so we started the shoot off with some shots on the basketball court. We did a little bit of trekking around the college and hit up some pretty cool spots. It was quite breezy and a little chilly that day but we all enjoyed ourselves. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in January! Enjoy this preview!
Kelsea and Dan’s wedding was one to remember! It was a great end to this year’s wedding season. Every little detail was perfect and you could tell that they put a lot of work into all of the decoration. The inside of the barn where the reception was held had a beautiful Fall decor setting. It was such a neat experience to be able to photograph a wedding at a place with tons of historical significance. The Bed and Breakfast is literally right next to Gettysburg battlefield and the barn was used as a make-shift hospital during the civil war(yes, men did die in that barn during the war). Kelsea and Dan were both awesome to work with and they were both a lot of fun to be around. Even though the grass was a little wet and muddy from the previous days rain, we were able to get lots of great shots. Enjoy their preview!
Last Friday I had the pleasure to spend my day with Heather and Charlie. They tied the knot at the beautiful Meredith Manor in Pottstown. I had never been to Meredith Manor before and the inside reception area was perfect for a smaller, more intimate wedding. Their ceremony was held outside in the garden area under tall trees, so we were shaded from the sun most of the time. Heather and Charlie are so much fun to be around and I was looking forward to their wedding for quite some time.We had great weather, and of course, we got tons of great shots! Charlie sure knows how to bust a move on the dance floor as well! Here is a little preview of their special day. Enjoy!
It was a hot and muggy Sunday morning when I got together with Julia and Ian for their engagement session. The temperature was already pretty high for 10am in the morning, but that didn’t stop the three of us from having a great shoot! We met up at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. The area is packed with great photo opportunities everywhere. The old buildings provided me with lots of cool backdrops. Julia and Ian didn’t seem to be bothered by the heat as we pumped out tons of cool shots. Looking forward to their wedding next July! Enjoy their preview.
On Sunday I was able to spent some time with this awesome couple – Jennifer and Matt. We met up at the Manor House at Prophecy Creek for their engagement session. They were both really fun to be around and the session went off without a hitch! The weather cooperated and the rain stayed away from us during our session even though it rained a little that same morning. Jennifer and Matt are getting married at the Manor House at Prophecy Creek as well. It was great to explore the grounds and to see where we could potentially go for photos on the day of their wedding. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next July! Enjoy this preview!
It was great hanging out with the Burnett family this past Saturday. I met up with Elaine, Walt, TJ and Stephen at Samuel S Lewis State Park. Elaine wanted photos of the family before her oldest son, TJ, went off to college. This park was a great area for photos. There were plenty of boulders and rocks to climb and sit on and woods surrounding the area. They decided to have the session there because it held a lot of memories for Walt. He grew up around that area and would frequently visit the park with family. Enjoy this little preview!
Sarah and Chris’ wedding day went off without a hitch and everything from start to finish was perfect. The whole day was laid out perfectly, down to every detail, and even the weather cooperated! I especially love it when the weather is beautiful and cooperates! Sarah and Chris were great to work with and fun to be around. They decided to do a first look at Steinman Park in Lancaster City and then the whole wedding party headed over to Wheatland (James Buchanan House) for the rest of the wedding party photos. Wheatland was a great place for photos because it had tons of cool areas and neat backdrops. Their reception was held at The Hamilton Club in Lancaster. It’s a quaint, little gem located in the heart of the city. Sarah and Chris both went to school at Bucknell University and they had plenty of their fellow Bucknell friends there with them on their special day. Everyone sure knew how to party and have a good time! On another note, they had a small furry friend tag along with them and the whole wedding party all night long. By this, I mean a stuffed animal dog that Chris attached a Go-Pro camera to. They carried it around everywhere they went and it captured every memorable moment of the day for them. I’m sure that will make for one awesome video! Here is a little preview of their special day. Enjoy!
